The U.S. government decides to go after an agro-business giant with a price-fixing accusation, based on the evidence submitted by their star witness, vice president-turned-informant Mark Whitacre.

8/10 – I’m always slightly skeptical of the ‘based on a true story’ films, due to the sheer sensationalism or artistic licence they incorporate in order to get bums on seats, but this one did not disappoint. Matt Damon plays the unhinged character of Mark Whitacre in this funny, weird and interesting film that combines the inner ramblings and the ‘dumb’ persona of the lead to comedic effect. So much so, you almost forget that this is a real story, with real people and real money. Not all that funny anymore…
